Brief

StarMicrocel Expandable microspheres are small spherical plastic particles, which are made of a polymeric shell and its wrapped gas. When heated, the internal gas pressure increases and the thermoplastic shell softens, which results in that the volume of microsphere increases surprisingly while the gas still keeps inside the shell.



Microsphere is expandable, so it will result sharp drop in density; the density of microsphere is reduced to 30 kg/m3 from general1000kg/m³

Features

Expansion:
- StarMicrocel microsphere can be used as foaming agent in a variety of base materials such as adhesives, polymers and substrates . 
- StarMicrocel microsphere series have different temperature expansion level, the expansion temperature range is from 80 to 230 ° C. Due to the different thermodynamic behaviors of different levels of microspheres, we can use the most suitable microsphere for each processing method and application. 

Low Density:
StarMicrocel microsphere can also be used as light t filler with very low density. 


Size:
Depending on the needs of application, we can offer all sizes of StarMicrocel microspheres; the expanded size of microsphere is between 20 and 150 microns.

Elasticity:

All grades of StarMicrocel microspheres have high rebound resilience; the expanded microsphere can be easily compressed, and the pressure-released microsphere also can back to the original volume easily.
